Barossa Shiraz Grenache

This is one of my favourite blends and it is ideal as a food wine, we serve this with a number of our wood oven pizzas at the estate. It's a blend of our Eden Valley Shiraz with delicate blackberry characters, Barossa Valley Shiraz to add depth and Barossa Valley Grenache to lift the nose and palate with brighter red cherries and spice.
We hand picked the grapes and open fermented in small batches for 9 days before maturing in French and American oak barrels for 12 months.

Wonderfully fruited and enticing, the bouquet shows blackberry, Black Doris plum, violet and hazelnut characters with touches of pepper spice and cocoa. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity together with fleshy mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by excellent fruit purity and spicy complexity, finishing persistent and silky.
